I started these plants about a month ago. They are soil-less plants, growing in little baskets inside a mason jar filled with water and plant solution. You cover the glass with paper on tinfoil so no algae can grow from the sunlight. No need to further water. Just watch them grow. A great way to have fresh greens all winter or a cold spring. They are almost ready to pick. They will continue to grow even after you clip off some of the leaves. I mixed them up with lettuce, kale, arugula and basil. Some of them are growing nicely and others probably won’t make it. It’s ok. All an experiment in different size jars and cups. Try it!
